The BionicGym is a unique fitness machine that aims to simulate aerobic exercise through the use of motor-neurons. It allows the user to train at a lower-level for hours and is best suited for those who are looking for a way to better use time spent sitting at a desk or on the couch. But does it actually work?
How Does it Work?
The BionicGym uses frequencies to target specific electrical impulses in the body. These frequencies cause the muscles to heat up, which stimulates the heart. During the process of training, the body's temperature increases, increasing blood flow to the muscles. While these changes can lead to a sweaty body, the heat produced during a workout can help the heart and circulatory systems function more properly.
Can the Bionic Gym Really Help You Exercise?
Unlike conventional gyms, the BionicGym can be used in many environments. It is a great way to exercise while simultaneously working on other things. A person can watch their legs move while they watch TV or work. Everyone's tolerance for this type of muscle stimulation is different, and the BionicGym can be adjusted to fit a variety of comfort levels.
The BionicGym was a breakthrough fitness machine that was made popular by Crowe's name. It raised $3 million on Indiegogo, a crowdfunding site. In addition, it has a patent that focuses on the bionic muscle stimulation; enabling users to enjoy a sufficient workout without risking injury and burns.
Does the BionicGym actually work?
There are many testimonials from people who have tried the BionicGym. While some users have had great success with it, the results are mixed. Some users report the machine doesn't work as advertised. Others report that they've burned up to 15 calories per minute while sitting, but that's not an uncommon result for a home gym. The device's results vary between individuals. This is one of the reasons why the BionicGym could be a great choice for those who are unable to enjoy a conventional gym.
I decided to give the BionicGym a try for 3 Main reasons:
- I spend A LOT of time working at my desk, and I don't expect that to change anytime soon. My desk is adjustable, however, which allows me to stand up every now and then without interrupting my workflow. The BionicGym may enable me to make even better use of this time.
- I spend some evenings reading, gaming, or watching movies. This is a great opportunity to turn up the intensity on my BionicGym to burn a few extra calories.
- I just love a good experiment.
That being said, it's important to know that exercise alone isn't sufficient to improve overall health and wellness. Clean-eating, quality sleep, hydration, strength/ resistance training, and many other factors play a big part in human health.
Whether we stick to tried and true methods or like to experiment with more modern marvels, make sure to view the big picture and aim to build a healthy lifestyle rather than putting all of your hopes into any device.
